Introduction: Instrutional Media Portfolio Project

Overview: The evaluation and production of media using instructional media tools is of continued importance in the creation of moder cirricular materials. Though instructional designers are not always the persons producing the materials, it is inevitable that the designers of cirricullum will be asked to prototype or evaluate the tools used to produce these materials.

Purpose of This Portfolio:

Though the style and the interpretation of this course's assignments are up to the individual instructional design learners, the fundemental aspects, principles and tennents of each assignment are based in solid scientific data. This portfiolio allows the learner to evaluate, practice with and determine the strengths and weeknesses of the individual instructional desting tools.

Project Objectives:

• Communicate effectively.
• Demonstrate an understanding of knowledge, skills, and attitudes pertaining to instructional design and related fields.
• Analyze the characteristics of existing and emerging technologies and their uses in an instructional environment.
• Evaluate a variety of techniques to define and sequence the instructional content and strategies.
• Develop instructional materials.
• Demonstrate personal and professional ethical conduct that reflects respect for the rights of others in all academic and professional interactions.
• Apply current research and theory to the practice of instructional design.
